As a charity, Brightwell Pre-school is run by a parent-led committee that works closely with the staff. This allows us to provide affordable childcare for all because the voluntary committee takes on jobs that would otherwise need salaried staff.
Our parent-led committee adheres to the Early Years Alliance constitution which is a governing document approved by the Charity Commission.
For Brightwell Pre-school to remain open, the committee needs to have at least three officers and be made up of a minimum of five people. However, it really is a case of the more the merrier and we encourage all parents to get involved to make our preschool even better.
The committee invites parents to meet once every term at the PGM for a drink and a chat about the running of the preschool.
