Brightwell Preschool is open 38 weeks of the year and follows the Brightwell Primary School term timetable.
We are closed on all Bank Holidays, the time period between Christmas and New Year and the half term breaks. We are also closed to children on the listed inset days according to the timetable.
Fees are payable throughout the academic year, including during periods of sickness, holidays and unforeseen closures due to extreme weather, loss of electricity/water or any other circumstance where a risk assessment is deemed unsuitable to open the setting.
Government funding does not cover the full cost of delivering high quality childcare at Brightwell Preschool. We offer fully funded 15 and 30 hour childcare places; however this is subject to availability. We encourage you to apply early to secure a place.

There are various government funded schemes available to families and subject to eligibility.
15 hours 3-4 year old universal funding - currently all families automatically qualify for the 15 hour funding scheme from the term after their child turns three years old. An Oxfordshire County Council parent declaration form and proof of the child’s identification (birth certificate, red book, or passport) is required.
The 30 hour funding scheme is available to eligible families.
An Oxfordshire County Council parent declaration form and proof of the child’s identification (birth certificate, red book, or passport) is required. Brightwell Preschool must validate the code’s eligibility before a space is confirmed as a funded space.
Tax Free Childcare is a government scheme designed to help eligible families pay for childcare costs. It can be used for fees, including early birds and after school club, as well as hot meals.
