Hello! As I am fairly new to the world of early years, my experience is not quite what you would expect… my background is actually in food, drink and travel marketing! But I have been part of the Brightwell Preschool community from the moment our first child started attending. Throughout the time that both of my children were at preschool, I was involved in the parent volunteer committee, helping the setting to run as a valued charity and a well-respected part of our community.
Once my youngest child had started at primary school, I wasn’t quite ready to flee the preschool nest, so I applied to become an official bank staff member! This soon evolved into an opportunity to study for my Level 3 Early Years Practitioner role, which I am thoroughly enjoying every day.
I feel lucky to see the bright little faces of our preschoolers every day, and help them to develop and thrive in the nurturing environment that our setting, and this wonderful village, has to offer. In particular, I love the range of activities we experience with the children including forest school, baking, music and yoga, to name only a few!
